The B3BOX Laboratory Management Central integrates the tools and techniques of Quality Control in the systems provided by Biomedin, promoting the direct use of quality practices.
The data management required by the Quality Control services is so powerful that it should not be used only for demanding tasks, that eventually come out to be infrequent.
We believe that data should really belong to the user: he or she should be able to use them in independence and freedom. A true quality system can not rely upon specialistic practices.
Life expectancy is great and keeps growing, and we suppose that lung function data should not last less that the life of a person. So we think that data, that should really belong to the user, should also be available to he or she at any time and forever.
To "unleash" quality, Biomedin has therefore chosen to use for all results of lung function testing, open formats and standard languages. These formats are available to whoever learns and uses them, and they are the standards proposed by the WWW Consortium (http://www.w3.org) called XML (http://www.w3.org/XML/) and XQuery (http://www.w3.org/XML/Query/), and furthermore XPath, XSL and other standards sharing the same philosophy.
"Open" does definitely not mean "public"; it just means that you do not depend upon Biomedin for using them. It is up to you to choose how and when and with whom to use them or not to use them.
Given that Biomedin allows to its users to manage directly their path to quality, it is available for help: if you need that, contact us.
